Balloon ride from Aachen

Services and benefits:

Physical requirements:

• Minimum age: from 8 years, no maximum age • Minimum size: approx. 1.30 meters • Body weight: up to 120 kg • Physical fitness without any special restrictions • Not during pregnancy

Important informations:

• Please be sure to bring your balloon ride ticket with you to the start date. • The pilot gives instructions for correct behavior before and during the journey. These instructions must be strictly followed.

Weather:

• Balloon flights are very dependent on the weather conditions. So that you can have a safe and exciting journey, we only set off when the weather conditions are suitable. • Due to the thermals that occur during the day during the summer season, balloon flights during these months are only possible in the early morning hours (from sunrise until the thermals begin) and in the early evenings (after the thermals end until sunset). In the winter months, when there are no thermals, ballooning takes place during the day. • Your safety is important to us and always comes first. Balloon weather cannot be forced. We therefore ask for your understanding that not every start date can be achieved. • The decisive factor is not the “perceived”, possibly supposedly good weather, but the basis for a decision is solely the official balloon weather report from the German Weather Service in conjunction with the years of experience of our pilots. In the end, the final decision about a balloon launch is always made by the pilot in charge directly at the launch site. When in doubt, pilots always choose your safety. • If a balloon ride is canceled for weather reasons, a new start date will be agreed.

Duration:

You should plan a total of around 4 hours for the balloon ride, of which you will be in the air for at least 60 minutes. In addition to a detailed briefing by the pilot, the ride also includes the traditional balloon christening after landing and the return transfer to the starting point of the balloon ride. For the evening trips we usually meet 3 hours before sunset, for the morning trips we usually meet shortly before sunrise. You will receive detailed information about the process with the booking documents.

Sturdy shoes, work gloves, clothing similar to a hike in the current season, hat to protect against the heat of the burner
